I didn't get the spice flavor. The only thing I changed was I used Pumpkin Pie Spice as suggested by others. I was a little disappointed that the cookies weren't sweeter.
Hey crabby reviewers, if 95% of the reviewers are reporting good/great results-maybe the problem is YOU?! I make this whenever my frozen blueberries have been in the freezer a bit too long...it always comes out great. There was a reviewer with a great tip: cook it till when stirring, you can see the bottom of the pan for two seconds before it congeals back together, then it's done. This time I used a thermometer to 212 and its nice and jammed. Even with frozen blueberries.
I made half the recipe and baked it in a 10-inch cake pan. The baking time was the same and it came out wonderfully moist and delicious. I embellished it with warm sautéed apples and whipped cream but the cake was excellent on its own and doesn’t need any embellishments. It’s the perfect fall recipe.
The only change I made was to bake the sweet potatoes (I had the oven going baking bread) and I prefer baked to boiled sweet potatoes. It was a hit. This was gobbled up in no time and already requested again. It was a smidgeon too sweet for me so I would cut back a little on the maple syrup in the future, but still very good.
This is the perfect recipe if you were expecting company and wanted to whip together a delicious dessert in no time. It's very easy and who doesn't like chocolate mousse? I would add just a smidgeon more confectioner's sugar next time just as a personal preference.
It's a very quick and easy recipe. The sweetness and tartness was perfectly balanced. If you have an abundance of rhubarb in your garden, you may want to give this recipe a whirl.
I found these light and delicious and a little fluffier than the average crepe. You'll enjoy the vanilla flavor of these crepes which I found perfect accompanied by yogurt and fruit.
These cookies are light and crispy, and perfect eaten alone or crumbled over ice cream. It is a very sweet cookie. They spread very easily so be sure to use a small amount for each cookie.
